XenDemo
From OptionC
Because Xen is just too much fun to keep to ourselves, we started making demos to show off. For the most part, these are indistinguishable from a non-Xen machine, which is as it should be. At least we know the difference!
I suppose we are just asking to have our system compromised, but we do enjoy the testing. What we did is set up two boxes:
- Xen firewall (Debian + Shorewall, 3 nics is all the machine had room for, so two are hidden from the dom0 and used in the firewall, and then the firewall still uses the virtual device for connection to the LAN)
- Xen demo (on the DMZ), containing
- A squid reverse proxy
- A few web sites/domain names to play with
- A domU with a full Debian/Gnome gui running Freenx (if you want to take a look at that, please let us know, we'll get you the information)
- One extra, because we had the system set up
- http://www.jammylittletoad.com (this is not a Xen domU, it's an iPaq)
