This Wiki is under construction...

...most of the current information relates to our experiences with Xen. At lot of it is also specific to Debian, since we use that on many of our systems. And, since it's our wiki, we're now adding information on PostNuke and relevant modifications, as we've been spending a fair amount of time doing that.

We have no direct affiliation with XenSource (http://www.xensource.com) or the Xen Project (http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/Research/SRG/netos/xen/). As such, the views, directions, and gross inaccuracies on these pages are all our own, and should in no way be taken to reflect upon the Xen Masters.

There is an official Xen Wiki (http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/) - we have created this wiki because:

  • We needed a place to document our experiences
  • As it was already a wiki, making it public means somebody else might benefit from these efforts
  • Much of the information seemed too specific to our needs to justify putting on the official Xen Wiki (http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/)

However, this wiki is open for writing, although not to anonymous edits. If you want to make edits, feel free to get an account.

Okay, clearly we've been a bit distracted with all sorts of fun stuff, including Xen 3.0.2 (http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/research/srg/netos/xen/downloads/) and iscsi (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3720) and things we've taken lots of notes on and haven't put up yet. One of them involves creating virtual machines in parallels/vmware/xen/qemu for cohesiveFT (http://www.cohesiveft.com/). Right now they do a lot of stuff in the "financial industry"...


For those individuals who have decided to get accounts simply to make hidden edits pointing to specific websites that hawk stuff that's not relevant to what we have here, may we invite you to do one of the following: a) go away, far away, and never come back; b) drop dead; c) a combination of the two.
